DURAsuite

DURAsuite is an application suite specifically designed to manage "mission critical" and "life critical" messages and alarms. Typically used in areas where reliability and robustness are mandatory like hospitals, agedcare facilities, industrial operations, and prisons, DURAsuite is deployed in over 400 sites throughout Australia, New Zealand, and Europe.

DURAsuite is a set of software modules that manages the receipt, display, distribution, escalation and logging of critical alarms and messages.  DURAsuite can in essence receive alarms and messages from any source and deliver that information as a text message to any destination. DURAsuite is Java based and operates on a Linux powered Ascom appliance known as as an Open Java Server (OJS).  With a Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) of over 20 years the Ascom OJS platform provides exemplary stability and reliability.

DURAsuite is developed and fully supported from Australia.  With a dedicated development team of eight and an ambitious product roadmap, DURAsuite is a highly innovative and customer focussed application that is continually improving.

DURAsuite is designed with simplicity in mind...

DURAtest

DURAtest enables LAN/WAN connected users to regularly test their duress handheld devices so that they can confidently go about their business knowing that their unit works and that they know how to use their unit in times of stress and panic. All testing is time stamped and logged for reporting and analysis purposes.

DURAalarm

DURAalarm enables LAN/WAN connected users with a web browser to view in real time, via text and graphical information, all alarms from wireless duress handhelds, wired duress buttons and management systems. Users when acknowledging an alarm can add case notes for management purposes. All alarms can be sent simultaneously to handheld devices so that emergency response team members are instantly notified of crisis situations. All alarms are date/time stamped and logged.

DURAannounce

DURAannounce enables the conversion of critical messages into voice announcements using “text-to-speech” conversion. DURAsuite then manages the dispatch of this “speech message” to devices such as mobile phones, two-way-radios, wired handsets and public address (PA) systems. DURAsuite also insures that the recipient has read the message, using DTMF “Accept/Reject”, and can then manage the escalation of the message to other defined alternative recipients.

DURAdispatch

DURAdispatch enables tasks to be allocated to staff (e.g. orderlies, porters, tradesmen and maintenance personnel) from a simple web interface or from 3rd party management systems. Featuring ascom’s unique Accept / Reject feature and zone location concept the task is dispatched as a text message to the staff member that is both the best skilled and in the right area to perform the task in the quickest and most efficient way.

DURAio

DURAio provides DURAsuite with the ability to receive alarm signals from systems via “dry contacts” and to use these alarm inputs as triggers to dispatch pre-defined alarm messages to any receiving device. DURAio also enables DURAsuite to control external equipment (e.g. electric doors and lights) and management systems by changing the state of specific output contacts.

DURApage

DURApage enables LAN/WAN connected users with a web browser to dispatch messages to a multitude of devices (e.g. DECT and WiFi phones, pagers and mobile phones). DURApage supports the ability to send “free-text” and “pre-defined” messages to individual recipients or groups of recipients. Special one-touch emergency buttons enable simple and consistent delivery of alarm messages reducing the potential for human error during emergency / crisis situations (e.g. Code calling in hospitals, evacuation procedures etc.) All messages are date/time stamped and logged.
